Hello! My name is Imani Horton. I am a Buffalo, NY native with a passion for fiber! I journey began as a second grader at an after school program where I learned to knit from my best friend’s mom. Ever since then I have been creating anything from scarves to cat toys for charity. With a busy school, sports, and extra curricular schedule through high school and college, I took a small hiatus. After graduation, I opted to change my career path to business and worked in property management. After a short time, I discovered that I had the ability to take control of my financial and overall future if I opened my own business. So naturally, I chose yarn! The process started in March and we are now open at The Foundry on the East Side of Buffalo.
My “day job” is an assistant/receptionist at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic. In my spare time when I’m not knitting or crocheting, I enjoy spending time with my poochies, Udaz and Saoirse, hanging out with friends over some food and drink, as well as playing video games and catching up on my favorite shows.
